Vouliagmeni was a surprise team in the 2023 Champions League. Few believed the Greek club could go high last season, but it reached F8 from a very strong group. In the end, it won 4th place after a penalty shootout loss to Barceloneta.
Since last summer, Vouliagmeni has been guided by Vladimir Vujasinovic, a four-time Champions League winner as a player and the 2nd-best player in the first two decades of the 21st century, by Total Waterpolo’s expert jury. Before arriving at Vouliagmeni, Vujasinovic coached Partizan, Pro Recco and Novi Beograd and the junior national team of Serbia.
