The regular season in the groups for the title of the Italian Championship has been completed today.
Pro Recco and Brescia finished the season with perfect records. Besides the two, Telimar and Savona will compete in the playoffs.
The semifinals (best-of-two) start next week. Pro Recco will play against Savona, while Brescia and Telimar will face off in the second pair.

A few days after winning the Italian Cup, Pro Recco easily defeated Trieste to complete the regular season with 10 wins (6 in the second and 4 in the first phase). Dusan Mandic led the winning team with five goals. Francesco Di Fulvio missed the game, head coach Hernandez decided to rest him.
The match Telimar – Posillipo wasn’t played, due to a few positive cases at Posillipo. The Italian Swimming Federation didn’t postpone, but it canceled the match, probably because of a lack of available dates.

Brescia demolished Ortigia for the second time this week. On Thursday, Brescia beat the Sicilians 17:8. Today, Ortigia kept up with the hosts until halftime. After the low-scoring first half, Brescia had a 2:1 lead. The third quarter started with a quick exchange of goals. Canella found the net for 3:1. Di Lucioano cut the deficit (2:3). But, Brescia produced a 7:0 run in the last 14 minutes.
Savona beat Salerno. The first 3:1 quarter was decisive for the outcome.
