Several interesting pieces of information regarding the summer transfer market appeared in Serbian water polo in the days before and after the Final Four of the Super Cup.
Crvena Zvezda surprised two Champions League clubs – Radnicki and Novi Beograd and won the Cup. The teams defeated by “Red Whites” in the Final Four are the focus of the latest news about transfers.
Last week, Marko Radulovic left Radnicki. He will join Novi Beograd in the next season.
Nikola Lukic, the best scorer in Radnicki’s history, will go in the same direction as Radulovic. Unofficial and reliable sources say that Lukic will play for Novi Beograd in the season 2023/24. The player and Novi Beograd made an agreement.
He won’t leave Radnicki immediately, unlike Radulovic. Lukic will finish the season with the Kragujevac-based side. After that, the transfer to Novi Beograd should be confirmed and officially announced.
Nikola Lukic started playing water polo in Partizan. He departed from the seven-time European champion in 2018 and moved to Sabac. After one season at Sabac, Lukic joined Radnicki. Since 2019, he has played 139 games and has scored 283 goals for Radnicki, according to the club’s official statistical data. So, he will probably jump over the margin of 300 goals very soon.
Lukic was part of all of Radnicki’s big successes in the past several seasons, winning three trophies (the Regional League, the Serbian Championships, and the Serbian Cup)
He was the best player in the regular season of the 2021/22 Regional League, according to the statistical data provided by Total Waterpolo Arena.
Lukic played for Serbia at the 2022 World Championships in Budapest.
The Kragujevac-based side has started looking for new reinforcements. Radnicki found a replacement for Marko Radulovic quickly. Vuk Draskovic arrived at Radnicki from Primorac Kotor last week and debuted for the new club at the Final Four. Still, the list of newcomers will be longer in the summer.
