Dani Ballart is the head coach of CN Mataro, one of the best women’s teams in Europe.
Ballart, before entering the coaching profession, was a member of the “golden generation” of the Spanish national team. He won the gold medal at the 1996 Olympic Games and the silver medal four years prior in his hometown of Barcelona. Ballart is a four-time Olympian, having also competed in the 2000 Olympic Games (4th place) and the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens (6th place).
Prior to joining Mataro in 2020, he coached Sant Andreu (men) and Sabadell (women) and served as Sabadell’s director of sports following his retirement as a player in 2011
